A house with history
The idea for Imperial24 was born during the renovation of the apartments in this house. Guests kept asking where to buy water, coffee or a bite at night — so we built a store that is here for them, and for all of Zámecký vrch, at any hour.
The house on Zámecký vrch already stood before the mid-19th century — the oldest surviving plans of 1862 record it as an existing building under reconstruction. In the early 20th century it bore the name “Stadt Karlsruhe”; today it is known as Spa House POPRAD.
Its present appearance was shaped by architect and city master builder Karl Heller, whose 1904 design saw the house through a major rebuild. It stands at the very heart of the UNESCO-listed spa district — steps from the Hot Spring.
